What is our Internship Program?

Tyne Buchy Counselling Collective supports the growth and professionalism of the counselling community by mentoring graduate counsellors in their practicum placements. These counsellors work one to one, with couple's and in group settings (dependent on availability) to facilitate their growth as practitioners, gain experience and complete their requirements for graduation and registration. All of our interns receive direct one to one and group supervision by Approved Clinical Supervisors to meet the requirements of both their schooling programs and the BCACC standards of practice.

What are the benefits of working with an intern through the program?

Working with an intern can be a meaningful and supportive option for clients seeking counselling. Interns are carefully selected, highly motivated, and actively engaged in advanced training, bringing fresh perspectives and a strong commitment to client care. They receive ongoing supervision from experienced clinicians, ensuring that clients benefit from both the intern’s dedicated attention and the guidance of a seasoned professional. This model allows for high-quality, thoughtful care at a reduced cost, while maintaining strong clinical standards and support throughout the therapeutic process.
