Introduction to Trauma:

A Self-Compassion & Parts Approach

Meet your Facilitator

Tyne Buchy, RCC-ACS, is the founder of Tyne Buchy Counselling Collective and a dedicated clinician, educator, and workshop facilitator. With over six years of experience in private practice and a background in community mental health with Moving Forward Family Services, Tyne brings both depth and practicality to her work with clients and clinicians alike. She is EMDR-trained and ego-states informed, with extensive experience supporting clients through complex trauma, including those experiencing high levels of dissociation. Her clinical work also includes supporting individuals through the CVAP program, providing trauma-informed care to those impacted by crime and violence. Since 2020, Tyne has been actively teaching and facilitating workshops for clinicians across British Columbia. Teaching is a central passion in her work, and she has thoughtfully designed and curated each of her workshops to reflect the realities of clinical practice. Her trainings are grounded in a trauma-informed, self-compassion and parts-based approach, integrating practical tools that clinicians can apply directly in their work with clients. Tyne is particularly passionate about the role of self-compassion in healing and incorporates this lens into both her clinical work and teaching. She is known for her warm, direct, and engaging style, creating learning environments that are supportive, collaborative, and skill-focused. Her goal is to help clinicians deepen their understanding of trauma, build confidence in working with complex presentations, and foster meaningful, lasting change in the clients they support.
